Best practices Exchange for youth Trainers in the field of Sharing Economy and Ecology (BETSEE) mira a scambiare le migliori pratiche nel campo dell’educazione ambientale con un’attenzione particolare alla sharing economy “verde” tra organizzazioni che sono tutte esperte in educazione giovanile, ognuna con un focus su un diverso gruppo target.

The project focuses on environmental education and a "green" sharing economy to improve the teaching skills of youth workers and increase, in one fell swoop, the soft skills of disadvantaged young people.

Local activities

These activities based on the contents of the Handbook took place in Italy, Ireland, France and Portugal. Each partner organized workshops with their respective target groups using the good teaching practices learned during the study trips to Portugal, Italy and Ireland and the new knowledge learned from the studies collected in the Green E-Manual.

The Three Guineas organized the "Green Wardrobe" Workshop in January 2021.

Study visits

Partners organized three study visits for the purpose of enabling educators from partner organizations to observe best practices and methodologies in the field of environmental education implemented by other organizations in their communities

  • Lisbon, Oct. 12, 2021: Participants met with the ASPEA association, which has been organizing environmental awareness courses for 30 years.

  • Lecce, May 13, 2022: Members of the BETSEE partnership met with Mobius Circles and Plastic Free, associations committed to fighting plastic pollution.

  • Virginia, Ireland, Nov. 25, 2022: Partners attended a lecture by a researcher with expertise in the circular economy and alternative economic models that promote waste reuse and limit overproduction.

Training activities in Lisbon

At the end of the project (October 2022), 15 youth and youth trainers participated in the 3-day training organized by CHECK-IN in Lisbon. Through this workshop, the participants were able to consolidate their knowledge in the field of green habits and the sharing economy and developed nonformal skills that are important for job placement.
